Testing charm

Today I wondered if it would be possible to post to my blog using a simple cli program and this post proves that it can be done. I found a simple python2 program called charm. It’s very easy to use and allows you to post to your WordPress blog using XMLrpc. So that’s what I am doing right now.

I still have to find out how I can add images to my posts and whether that is even possible, but for now it’s very easy to post text blogs to my blog. So that’s what I am going to use for right now, until find a better way that is.

The Nautilus Ark

A while ago I saw something strange in my YouTube recommendations. The thumbnail was of a woman leaning on a huge sword. I was intrigued and clicked on it. That’s how I got to know Critical Role. Now that was an episode very late in the campaign so I did what every one should do, I stopped the video and started at Campaign 2 Episode 1.

Now I’m so hooked on these nerdy ass voice actors playing Dungeons and Dragons that I started binge watching the episodes. Problems with my internet connection even made me download all the episodes so I could watch them even when my internet is out.

As every other critter out there I am anxiously waiting for Campaign 3 to start, in the mean time here’s a one shot lead by the first time DM/GM, Ashley Johnson.

Finally love my computer again

As some of you might know I am a fervent Linux user, especially Arch Linux. I’ve been distro-hopping for quite some time a few years ago. I went from Ubuntu to Debian. to Manjaro and back to Ubuntu. As part of a challenge I installed Arch the “Arch way” and I never looked back. Sure I tried other distro’s (like MxLinux) but I always went back to Arch after a while, so I decided one day to stop hopping and just stay on Arch.

Then came the next issue: which desktop environment. Should I use Gnome, KDE, XFCE4 or just a window-manager? It took me a while but now I’ve settled on the latter, a window-manager and I3wm was the one I chose. I’ve tweaked it a lot over the last few months and now I’ve got it the way I like it.

Just for the nitpickers under us, I can change the sizes of the containers (windows) with keyboard shortcuts. If anyone is interested I can post my configs.

Suddenly I had the urge

I have been thinking about it for a while now and now I’ve done it. Totally oblitorated all the content on this site and started new and fresh. With a simple theme, no riff raf, no nothing. Just me rambling on the interwebs about anything I want and like. No default categories, tags or whatever, let’s see what this will become or not. Let’s just wait and see.
